Background

The project engaged 35 Young Ambassadors in Greece, raising awareness on Honour-Based Violence (HRV), gender-based violence, and human rights through education, art, and civic engagement. Defined in collaboration with these young participants, the initiative fostered empowerment and community action.

Art and culture played a key role, with Young Ambassadors exploring gender equality and human rights through selected artworks at the Municipal Gallery of Larissa. Beyond workshops, they participated in local festivals, engaging the broader community, and presented their work to students of their age, fostering peer-to-peer learning and dialogue.

The project extended to the Larissa Youth Council, where participants presented their initiatives and engaged in discussions on youth participation in decision-making. This experience provided practical insights into civic engagement, reinforcing the role of young people in promoting social change and gender equality in Greece.
